FAQs- Frequently Asked Questions And Answers

13. Is Silver Sands a safe place and can one walk around the property?

Silver Sands is one of the safest places. It is in the parish of Trelawny which enjoys a very low crime rate. In addition, the home owners collectively employ their own private security to man the only entrance and exit twenty-four hours per day- and to patrol the property.

There is no through traffic, and so people walk around Silver Sands all the time without any problems. A lot of people do power walks or jog around the property early in the morning and at dusk. (Read what Meredith Bryant wrote about this in her letter to me after her vacation.)

At all times it makes good sense to take extra care when you are in a foreign country. Be careful with your money and other valuables. Don't invite people you have just met into your rented accommodation, no matter how friendly they appear. And please lock the house properly when you leave it empty to go to the beach or elsewhere.
