28. Do I need to bring cash? Where can I change money and find an ATM?
Credit cards are accepted at most places where visitors frequent. Anything that you buy from us or book through us may be paid for by major credit cards, VISA, MasterCard, and Amex.
Groceries, gifts, souvenirs, and other items bought from our onsite Villa Mart may be charged to your villa/cottage and paid for using the same credit card (or other card) that you used when making your booking.
You will need cash for paying the fishermen for fresh seafood obtained from the Fishermen's Beach and for the fruit and vegetable vendors, local craft vendors, etc. United States dollars (US$) are accepted everywhere. Don't expect to get back change in US$ though, so it's best to bring small bills.
You may also pay in Jamaican dollars (J$). You may change US$ into J$ at the airport on arrival. The Cambio is located just behind the Immigration check point. While you are at Silver Sands, you may change money at the banks in Falmouth. There is now a Cambio in Duncans.
