It took us far too long to respond to this e-mail. Our trip to Jamaica was so enhanced by our stay at the Hang Time Villa in Silver Sands. The villa is spacious and perfect for a family. Ingrid and Lucille were the most gracious and unassuming hosts I have ever met. The people in Jamaica were so friendly and welcoming. The staff at Silver Sands were accommodating and they took excellent care of all our needs.
Silver Sands had arranged a driver for us. Mark was so knowledgeable and completely agreeable to our desires. Our family was well taken care of with him as our tour guide. He had a knack for showing us the best places to see and especially to eat! (Do not miss the chance to have a local show you a favorite Jerk Stand.)
I cannot say enough how the people of Jamaica impacted us. They are some of the most content, open and friendly people I have ever met. We walked down to fishermans beach daily because we had made friends with a wood carver named Walten on our first day. Another acquaintance at the beach took us to see old Maroon caves. These are the experiences one will not read about in a travel book or get at an all-inclusive resort.
Stat at Silver Sands and you will not leave Jamaica without feeling like you have left behind a few friends.
