Guests' Letters Julie Breland . . . The Orchid House, September '99 Dear Prem, I just wanted to tell you what a great time we had at The Orchid House! Our wedding could have not been better. Words cannot describe how beautiful everything was, we could have never imagined it being so spectacular! We got married in front of the pool. Thelma Gray decorated it so beautifully with tropical flowers, she even decorated the palm tree. The bridal bouquet she made for me was out of this world (I could have never had anything like that made here). We had our reception on the sun deck just as the sun was going down and the blue ocean in the background, Thelma decorated the head table with a beautiful gold bow and more native flowers. Margaret made the wedding cake it was a homemade chocolate cake with white butter rum icing, it was the best cake we have ever had! Thelma also deocrated it with beautiful flowers. Thelma was great to work with, I would certainly not hesitate to reccommend her to anyone desiring to get married in paradise. Please tell Margaret and Carol how much we miss them! They are the best! Margaret is an outstanding cook, we had some very picky eaters with us and she never failed to please. She made lobster, shrimp and several other dishes for the wedding dinner, all were wonderful, but the cake was excellent! (I got the recipe before we left but I doubt mine will turn out like Margaret's!) We kept Carol extremely busy with all of our messy people and she always had a smile on her face. (She also makes a great cherry punch.) Margaret and Carol are very special people- we fell in love with them the week we were there, we kept them there much too late many nights just talking. Prem, the Orchid House is great, and the people you have there make it even better. We could have never experienced Jamaica the way we did staying in a hotel.
