Guests' Letters
We had a wonderful time in Jamaica. Our family had lots of good days together enjoying the beach, the house, and pool. Endless Summer is a magnificent house. I am an early riser and almost every day saw the fishermen launch from their beach. The sunrises and sunsets were beautiful. We also had a full moon and some cloud free nights to enjoy the view of the moonlight on the water. The master bedroom upstairs with the balcony was my favorite place. I miss hearing the waves on the beach. I was glad that room was so open and breezy. The staff at Endless Summer was superb. They made us feel so welcome and were very attentive. Una, Betty, Merline, and Marcia were very good at their jobs. We have no complaints at all. Belvett also was helpful and took great care of the pool. He is rather quiet but was always polite and considerate. Some of the things our family enjoyed in Jamaica were Ocho Rios and Dunn's River Falls, deep sea fishing on the Suzie-Q owned by Ricky Waites, a trip to Montego Bay for shopping, beach and play at Margaritaville. We also visited the Blossom Gardens orphanage in Montego Bay and the Trelawny Infirmary in Falmouth. We wanted them to see some of the locations we have been involved on our work team trips. One day we went to Deeside and Queen of Spains Valley to look at a cane farm we have in Whymms. We didn't get around to calling Michael Stewart but stayed busy. There were several trips to Fisherman's Beach for shopping. We bought lobster twice to feed our multitude. Betty is quite good at fixing it. Mike from Fisherman's Beach took 6 of us on a walking tour of the Bat Cave near Duncan's Bay. Our 9 year old grandson thought that was the highlight of his trip. Our family learned to enjoy many new fruits and had a new appreciation for those old ones that are not so good in the midwest USA. Ginnips were the biggest hit of the new fruits for the kids. We brought a freezer and made homemade ice cream at least 6 times. We bought all the ice in Duncans and went to Falmouth for more. We all were amazed at the long life milk you could keep on the shelf. The dairy farmers of the US have somehow kept that a big secret here. ... I know we will be back to Silver Sands again many times. The house we choose will be based on the size of the group and whether there are any children with us. If we book and don't use Endless Summer it is not because we don't love it! Thank you for all the help in making arrangements. The travel vouchers worked perfectly. Thanks for making the last minute changes. Thanks again for helping us have a wonderful vacation and family reunion. Dianna Carpenter
