Guests' Letters . . . Endless Summer and The Orchid House, November '00
Prem, Our vacation was all I hoped for and more. Both Endless Summer and The Orchid House were all that we were promised and so much more. Our guests enjoyed the houses and everything about it. We enjoyed the privacy while being able to mingle with others at the beach, bar and patio. The staff were wonderful; Tashana, Merlene, Gloria, Margaret, Una and Carol. These 6 women took excellent care of us from arrival to departure. Whatever you are paying them is not enough. Please give a special thanks to Miss Una for the wedding cake. We had a traditional Jamaican black cake for the reception but I heard she made fine cakes and asked her to make a "white" cake for me as well. This was the best cake I have ever eaten. Our wedding ceremony and reception was held on the beach in front of Endless Summer. We used the stairs next to the house as the aisle and thankfully with the help of my mother and father to assist, there were no accidents. The shells on the grass made an excellent walkway to the arch. Thelma had decorated under the palm tree. We set up a tent for the reception directly in front of the house just in case we had bad weather. Fortunately for us the weather was perfect but the tent created a wonderful ambiance. Thelma Grey's services were superb. Our flowers were beautiful, the caterer was professional and the food was delicious and the photographer she hired took some of the loveliest pictures we could have imagined. We had a background at the beach with the perfect Jamaican sunset. We had the opportunity to go to Ocho Rios to be alone for a few days but we decided against it. We were enjoying ourselves so much with family and friends and the attention from the staff that we didn't want to leave. We are already talking about a return visit. My husband thinks it should be an annual vacation for the entire family. Thanks again for all of your help. I have also enclosed a few pictures for your site, in addition, feel free to use any of my comments and I will be more than happy to act as an ambassador for your site. Regards, Dawn Davis-Alkins
