. . . Endless Summer,

I just wanted to write about our experience this summer at Silver Sands...we spent 10 days in Endless Summer and it was the most relaxing vacation we've ever had.
There were 8 of us in that big, wonderful house...I was fortunate to have the upstairs bedroom all to myself with the ocean & stars to fall asleep to and the sounds of the ocean and the fishermen at the nearby beach to wake up to.
First, the SS website is to be commended, everything is pretty much as described. Our only disappointed was that we couldn't swim on the beach behind our house, but the beach area at SS was a great place to enjoy the water and meet other guests. We got to know our bartenders (Kelly & Duvall) well and they were really great & most accommodating and the kids enjoyed the pizza & fries at the Grill. They only wished that there was a little more for them to do, esp. in the evenings and at the 'Friday Welcome' parties (we were there for 2 Fridays).
But back to Endless Summer ... first our staff, Una, Merlene, Betty & Belvitt were the BEST! They made us feel as if we were in our own home and they took great care of us! The house was spotless, our clothes went into the 'magic basket' and came back clean & folded, Una's pancakes were a huge hit and her Breakfast pizza, delicious... And Betty's fried chicken, chocolate cake, Festival ... were wonderful. We had fresh lobster twice ($5/lb) which Betty cooked to perfection ... and Merlene was always somewhere taking care of whatever we left behind. We (myself, Pam & Guy) said we felt like "the kids" on vacation since we had to do next to nothing for 10 days.
The Staff at the office in Duncan's were so easy to deal with and made arrangements for us whenever needed.
The location of Endless Summer is also good, on the water with spectacular views, the pool, a short walk to the main beach area, and the Fisherman's beach nearby...a must for anyone who visits Silver Sands; the locals there are great people...Guy got to go out fishing with the locals one morning and also had a beautiful custom cane carved there for a great price.
We took a few trips...Dunns River Falls, Dolphin Cove, Montego Bay, Glistening Waters and always our drivers were great and took good care of us.
The whole vacation was wonderful (we did lose some luggage coming into Jamaica and Newark lost the cane for about a week) and a great experience for the kids to see another country and mingle with the people there. It was really so reasonable for the house, staff and food, compared to going to the Jersey shore for 2 weeks or going to a big resort., and did I mention, SO relaxing. I'd go back tomorrow to sit around the counter in the kitchen and chat with Una, Merlene & Betty. Silver Sands was truly "No Problem."
I was only sorry I never got to meet you personally while we were there, we did meet your wonderful children and got a tour of "Orchid House," which is beautiful!
