Guests' Letters
We thoroughly enjoyed Day-O and Marcie and Patrina. We both thought this is a gem of a villa, perhaps overlooked at times because it is away from the beach and unlike others which may have a walk, it is without the ocean view. While I am the one who has to be on the beach, my husband loved being up and away from it. As he said, when it is windy at the beach, it is windy at all the beachfront houses too. At Day-O it was lovely, despite some very windy beach days while we were there. The grounds are beautiful and the pool very nice. We had some baseball games on the grounds a few days when the beach was rough. Marcie is a very good cook- it is hard when you compare anyone to Betty or Una- they are exceptional. But Marcie made tremendous breakfasts and gave us some of her specialties each day at dinner too, which was a nice touch. Marcie is also very easy to talk to and laughs easily, making the stay very welcoming. Patrina kept the house well and comfortable for us. Friends at other villas said their ladies were frantic over beach towels each day, which caused them some stress. We asked Patrina and Marcie to tell us if any were missing, but they said it was no problem, if one was missing they would track it down. That is an attitude you remember, making the guest feel welcome. It was nice to see how comfortable we were there. We would highly recommend it to anyone. As we left, Marcie said they were negotiating for a golf cart perhaps for the house. I think that it would make the house (actually any house in SS) much more enjoyable if the guests had either young children or were older and not in good shape. Of course we had time with Una, Betty and Merlene when we stopped by on our runs in the morning or walks in the evening. We are looking forward to that trip in December- it was simply nice to see how it felt to be there twice in one year- good as expected. Best wishes, Mary CO, USA
