Guests' Letters Joe Koziol . . . Queen's Cottage, December '00 Anyone who is considering staying at a villa in Silver Sands needs to prepare themselves for one of the best, most relaxing vacations ever. We spent a week in Queen's Cottage and have to say that everything was perfect. Everything that Prem and Custom Caribbean Vacations promised was flawlessly delivered. Our trip started out rocky with major delays in our flight. We arrived almost 9 hours late, very tired and very tense (we were traveling with a 6 and 1 year old). We placed a call earlier to CCV to inform them of the delay and were told "no problem." I must admit, I had some concern doing all of the planning over the internet, and being that I never spoke directly with anyone, I was wondering in the back of my head if this place really existed! Our fears were soon put to rest. As soon as we cleared Customs, there was Natalie and Mark waiting for us with a cooler of cold Red Stripe. We may have been late, but they weren't! Not only were they extremely friendly and helpful, but they also made sure we had a car seat for the baby and a booster seat for our daughter. It was almost midnight when we made it to Silver Sands. A delicious dinner was waiting for us, and the refrigerator was stocked. The only thing missing was beer (I didn't request that it be supplied, seeing how we were supposed to arrive in the afternoon). This was not a problem, as Mark was more than happy to run out and get us some. The next morning as the sun rose, we realized we had picked the perfect vacation spot. It was paradise. The scenery was like a postcard. A website cannot do justice to the beauty of Silver Sands. Everyone was helpful and friendly. We soon met Miss Fay and Angela, who spent the next week spoiling us. Queen's Cottage is perfect for families. It is the closest place to the beach and has a fenced in porch so our little one couldn't "explore" without us. At Prem's recommendation, we hired Nadine, a nanny to help us with our kids for the week. We were a bit leery at leaving our kids alone with someone we had never met before, and thought we'd spend a few days getting to know her. I must say that 5 minutes after meeting Nadine, we trusted her with our most prized possessions, our kids. Not only was she helpful and interactive with the kids, she was extremely affordable considering all that she did. To sum up, Custom Caribbean Vacations really took care of business. Everything was either as good, or better than we expected. Their staff was always available to answer any questions, stopped by to make sure we were doing okay, and even arranged a tour of the other villas. Everyone we met actually touched our lives, from Miss Fay and Angela (cook & housekeeper) to Roy and David (lifeguards), and especially Nadine. I must have asked Prem at least fifty questions before we left for this trip, and he graciously and honestly answered each one.
