Dear Prem,
Sorry it's taken me some time to get to you. It's kind of hard to get back to reality once you've relaxed so thoroughly.
My last trip to Jamaica was my 7th time on the island with my children and I must say that Silver Sands and the Orchid House is the home away from home that we've been looking for.
The meals prepared by both Gloria and Margaret were always delicious and well presented. We are from Brooklyn, NY and are somewhat accustomed to Jamaican food but, these meals were always special. As a single working parent it is such a treat to have someone make a home cooked meal for you for a change! We all gained a few pounds.
Also the extremely peaceful environment of The Orchid House made me think that the name should be changed to the Oasis House. The house was always spotlessly clean. Carol not only made beds, provided fresh towels and did our laundry, she managed to keep the house in order even with my two teens constantly in the living room playing Nintendo 64. The game was a very nice touch for my kids, as the TV was a little tempermental. Maybe a few additional cartridges can be added.
Over all I can say that you and your staff not only met my expectations, but exceeded them 1000%. I'm planning next year already. I'll be bring other members of my family back with me. They can't believe what a paradise I've found. They'll see for themselves.
