The vacation was great, we had a
wonderful time. The beach and the villa were
excellent.
Butterfly villa was very accurately represented on your website. It was an excellent value for the price we paid and in comparison to other villas we looked at. The staff was friendly and helpful.
. . . I have been on several villa vacations before and did alot of research before booking our trip. I would like to compliment you on your website. I found it to be very informative with almost all the information that I needed. I looked at alot of villa websites and yours was one of the best.
In the end we had a few villas to choose from that were available for the time we wanted. Some of them were also at Silver Sands, but not through you. However, you were able to answer all my questions quickly whereas some of the others were not as responsive or I did not feel gave complete answers.
. . . The walk back from the beach to Butterfly villa was a bit hard some days when the kids were tired, but we knew that from the map on your website and your description of the villa. In fact, the villa was nicer than I expected. I think your website and pictures did a very good job of presenting the villas.
. . .The villa staff were very nice and friendly and accomadating. As you may know, we had alot of complicated food requirements for our villa. We had a bunch of food allergies, some vegetarians and some meat eaters. Carol was very good about making separate meat dishes and vegetarian dishes as well as avoiding all the allergic items (like peanuts) for my daughter. This is one of the big reasons we rented a villa over going to a resort so we could make sure we knew what was in the food and it worked great. The villa was kept very clean and our laundry was done every day (a real treat). The pool guy brought the kids jelly coconut and sugar cane one day too which they thought was great.
. . . The office staff was very helpful. I went by several times with questions and they were always pleasant.
. . . The ground transportation was good. They met us at the airport and had the child seats and seat belts which was important to us. They picked us up on time and took us back to the airport and again had child seats. I also used the ride into town for groceries one day and it was fine.
. . . Note on food prices for future guests is that we spent just under $500 US for 7 people (3 adults and 4 children) for the week. This was less than I expected, but I know lots of things are more expensive in Jamaica because they are imported. This include only a small amount of alcohol and not alot of meat since half of us were vegetarian so people who have lots of meat or alcohol might spend more. If you want to save money, make sure you buy Jamaican items where possible. For example the Jamaican bottled water is 1/3 the price of Evian.
