Hi Prem,
It was good to meet you in person last week out on the Jetty at Silver Sands. As for our trip....
WOW! Nearly all 29 of us raved about our vacation which ended Sat. 21 January. Two of our group were persistently sick and left early. The rest of us loved the villas (Rum Jetty and Endless Summer), the office staff - Debbie Ann, Angella, Suzette, etc, the House Staff - Betty, Marva, Gloria, Ann-Marie and Judy (and a few others I forgot), the food they prepared (and I mean all of it), the weather, the facilities, and the reggae BAND. With all of those superlatives, it is difficult to imagine any one thing that could have made our vacation at Silver Sands as enjoyable...WELL, THERE IS ONE MORE THING...PLEASE DO NOT DISCOUNT IT....IT MEANT A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT TO ALL OF US....
Fisherman's Beach (Jacob Taylor Beach) and It's Inhabitants (fisherman, artisans and locals).
As someone who has traveled to nine other islands, and I never stay at the typical all-inclusive compounds, this was perhaps the closest I have experienced to the perfect trip. Also considering the stigma Jamaica has (dangerous, criminal, etc), it was TRULY refreshing to meet friendly, peaceful locals at Fisherman's Beach. Aside of the amazing character that is Rum Jetty, one thing I will remember most about this trip was my time at Fishermans Beach.
We met the traveling dentists (three men and three women). They too enjoyed shopping and chatting with the locals at the beach. We felt perfectly safe inviting our parents and children along to Fishermans Beach.
THOSE PEOPLE ARE A TREMENDOUS ASSET TO SILVER SANDS. Please continue to support and protect their interests. You'll be protecting your own in the process.
Otherwise, you have a terrific product! Keep it up!
