Hello Prem,
This was our first time at Silver Sands so we were a bit skeptical before arriving. But I can honestly say, my family and I had an absolutely wonderful time there last month! I would definitely recommend you to a friend, as a matter of fact, I have already mentioned you to several friends and family members. We are planning to return next spring.
We loved staying at Hang Time with its colorful decor, bountiful fruit trees and lovely greenery. Being an interior designer, I totally appreciated the design of the floor plan. Each of the three bedrooms and living area, are adjacent to the beautiful outdoor swimming pool and open out to it. Our three children practically lived in the pool, sun up to sun down! Ingrid and Lucille took excellent care of us (Ingrid is an outstanding cook, her jerk chicken and rundown are to die for). They even went out of their way by introducing us to a local merchant, the fisherman (who delivered the lobsters to the villa's doorstep), the local water sportsman and provided us advice on where to shop and what to buy in terms of groceries (Falmouth's prices are very reasonable).
The villa's owner was in town and stopped by to check on us. After introductions, he invited us to his herb farm in Cockpit Country in the interior of the island, and provided a driver/tour guide to our surprise and delight! But the highlight of our stay was snorkeling about one mile off the coastline in the Caribbean Sea. The water sportsman (I think his name was Earle) took us out on his motor boat where the water was calmer. The children recall seeing colorful fish, jellyfish and a stingray. Later in the week, we took a day trip to Ocho Rios to do the "touristy stuff". We took so many photos over the week (we will send you some very soon to add to your website).
The office staff were very professional and the food at the bar and grill was delicious. Overall, we had a very enjoyable and relaxing vacation at Silver Sands. The only thing I would add would be a place on the grounds (an internet cafe) where people can connect to the internet (we had to travel to Duncans' library to check our email). But we will definitely spend the majority of our vacations at Silver Sands in the future. We miss it and Jamaica already!
