. . . Windjammer Villa, July '04
Hi Prem,
I must say that our vacation at Silver-Sands was the bomb!
...From the moment we arrived to
Montego Bay's Airport, we felt very special. The host
was very nice and the driver provided us a tour along the
way to the villas. Ilene and Hope were absolutely
outstanding and made our stay at the Windjammer Villa more
than pleasant. The food was prepared right on time
each day and everything they did for us was exceptionally
well. We even learned a few Jamaican words like "halo
and yeh mon." My wife truly enjoyed Ilene's
cooking and even talked her out of some of her Jamaican
recipes. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was prepared just
excellent and I just pitched my diet aside.

The Windjammer Villa was a wonderful place to stay. We
thoroughly enjoyed the swimming pool and the view of the
ocean each and every day. On our second day, Ilene
went to Famouth with us and we got the opportunity to browse
through the markets and purchase a few things. Ilene
explained to us how the bartering worked and provided us
with lots of useful information about the culture there.
While at the villa, we really enjoyed shopping in front of
your main office. I spent quite a bit of time talking
with the very talented people as they would perform their
wood carvings. We also made several purchases from
them too.
Johnkanoo.
The only thing challenging was becoming very familiar with
US dollars verses Jamaican dollars. I learned to take
Jamaican dollars to the grocery story and spend US dollars
practically everywhere else. Surprisingly, our grocery
bill for the week was under $200 and we got good and full
everyday. And Ilene did a splendid job with ensuring
the food was plentiful. We really grew to like her
during our stay there. If anyone desires any
information from a visitors perspective, I'll be more than
happy to share our great experience with them if they
emailed me. Oh yeah, the security there was tight as
it could possibly be anywhere. We felt so safe just as
your advertisement stated because the security officers were
out and about all the time. I could really go on and
on and on about the wonderful time we had at your resort
because it was well worth the trip. WE WILL BE BACK!!!

I sincerely want to thank you and your staff for having such
a wonderful place for people to go and relax without any
interference at all. Your place is so beautiful and I
have already shared it with so many people at my workplace.
And please tell Angela that we said hello to her.
She was so warm and spend much of her time off work
hours to conversate with us as if we had been knowing each
other for years.
