Guests' Letters . . . Blue Vista Villa, July '00
Yes, I am back safely, thank you. I don't know where to begin! I'll start by saying that I had the best time of my life and that I'm sad for missing Jamaica. The Blue Vista was great. More than comfortable and just lovely. Inez and Brenda are wonderful and Inez really looked out for us. I've never travelled before and Inez made sure that we didn't go off in cars with people she didn't know. I really felt that as long as I checked with her I wouldn't do anything foolish. It was like having my mom with me. Your staff was very kind and helpful. I found that everyone I met was friendly and helpful! The staff wasn't intrusive at all, but you knew that if you needed anything that they were close by. Yes, I would recommend you to friends and family. I'd even recommend you to strangers! And I have, believe me. I left a piece of my heart there, and I will definitely be going back. The ground transportation was fine. Scary, because I'm not used to driving on the other side of the road, but all the drivers were kind and friendly. I'm sure I was thoroughly annoying for asking them so many questions, but they didn't act annoyed. We didn't have any problems while we were there. We did run out of water a couple of times, but it was a very minor inconvenience and water was back on quickly. We spent a lot of time at Fisherman's Beach and I have to say that was the most enjoyable part of our trip. All the people there are delightful and wonderful. We even made friends with a few people that we will stay in touch with. I'm glad that you mentioned Fisherman's Beach on your website as it is an important place to see. It was a lot of fun wandering over there at night and playing dominoes. Finally, I spent a lot of time researching where to stay in Jamaica. I had a lot of options, as you know, and I chose Silver Sands mostly because of the enormous amount of information on your website. It was very helpful and by the time I actually got there, I felt like I knew where I was. Secondly, I chose to stay there because I thought it was more reasonably priced than a resort or hotel. I think the most important reason, and the reason I would go back is because I don't think you get a feel for Jamaica staying in a resort. It would be like being at home and I didn't want that. I hope that I didn't write too much, but I am very enthusiastic about my trip! I'd love to share the pictures we took. Thank you again for your service and your helpfulness. Sincerely,
