Dear Prem,
Our stay at the Orchid House was nothing short of fabulous!
This was our first villa experience and the first time we had booked a vacation over the internet. The information provided at your site, your responses to my emails, and my personal research put my mind pretty much at ease. Though I must admit, we still had a tinge of worry. What if there's no one at the airport to pick us up? What if the house is a dump?
Well those worries quickly subsided. Before we even got our luggage there was a page for us telling us where to meet our transportation. They were there with a clean van and cold drinks and got us safely to Silver Sands, pointing out places along the way.
Upon arriving at Orchid House, there was Una, Margarete, and Marcia waiting to greet us. Your web site described the house (though it was even more beautiful) and the staff so well that we felt we were coming home to old friends!
Since there was just the 3 of us, Una and Margarete took care of us so we didn't get to know Marcia. These ladies were terrific! So flexible to our lack of schedule. The house was always clean and the food was plentiful and delicious!
We celebrated 2 birthdays during our stay, one with Una's Key Lime Pie and one with a personalized birthday cake. We had read on your site how wonderful the cooking abilities of these ladies was and quickly found out for ourselves that this was true. Between Key Lime Pie, Banana Pancakes, and Shepherd's Pie, you ought to start a page for their recipes! Of course I didn't leave without them!
Since we had been to Jamaica several times we weren't into any site seeing. We came to Silver Sands to relax and spend quality time together. If there had been a contest for the laziest people at Silver Sands, we probably would've won! We did go into Ocho Rios one day with transportation arranged by your office, which went very smooth.
During our stay we did run into a little problem. Our reserve water tank broke down leaving us without water. This is the type of thing that could happen to any of our homes at any time. What was important to us was how the problem was managed. We were quickly repaired and it only resulted in a delay of our showers by a couple of hours. That's great service! I don't know how long it would've taken to get a plumber back home!
The only thing I would change in the house (if it's even possible) is some type of mosquito netting in the living room. It's great having it all open during the day, but a couple nights the bugs really got to us, even with mosquito coils burning and repellent on. But even with this, we'd come back to Orchid House in a heartbeat!
Prem, I could go on and on about how wonderful this vacation was, but will stop here. I've sent links to your site to several friends and family members with high recommendations and can't wait until we can return. Please feel free to post any or all of this email on your site and we would be thrilled to be listed as one of your ambassadors.
