Prem, I want to tell you how
OUTSTANDING our vacation at Silver Sands was.
"Endless Summer" was beautiful and the staff were absolutely the best. I can't think of enough adjectives to describe the service we had! From the moment we were picked up by Trushawn & Trevor, we knew we had picked the right place for our vacation. Trevor was our primary driver for the week and he was helpful, punctual,and a really nice young man.
Una & Betty were fabulous cooks. We went out one night for dinner and the food did not compare to what we ate at the villa~jerk chicken, fried chicken, curried goat, oxtail soup, fish and lobster. And the cost of food was very reasonable. The kids (and adults!)loved the banana pancakes and fresh fruit for breakfast. The rum punch was very tasty. They kept us well-fed! Merlene was a wonderful housekeeper. She managed to keep the place spotless, even though we had 12 people in & out all the time. None of them minded having our 4 girls follow them around (the kids were always in the kitchen!). All three women were the most happy, sweet, caring people we could have hoped to meet. They are excellent representatives of CCV and of you, Prem (we found out that "Endless Summer" is one of your homes).
As for the villa itself--we loved it! It reminded us of a big cottage that you might find in Michigan. It was very comfortable, clean, and well-maintained. My parents absolutely loved the upstairs bedroom. My mom (who paid for the trip!) told me to mention the fact that she thought it was one of the nicest rooms she had ever seen. It was like a dream, she said.
While we were in Jamaica, we had the opportunity to visit Dunn's River Falls & Ocho Rios, go horseback riding at Braco stables, golf at Rose Hall, raft on the Martha Brae, visit Falmouth & Glistening Waters (we had dinner there and did the boat tour), and go deep sea fishing. All trips were worthwhile. The only bad experience(s) were deep-sea fishing. The waters were extremely rough and 2 of the 5 people who went got seasick (even with the "patch"). But that wasn't anyone's fault!
The whole week, the weather was windy & there were pretty high waves. But it was warm and the clouds kept us from getting too badly sunburned! We were only able to snorkle & use the kayaks on two of the days but the older kids enjoyed boogie-boarding & bodysurfing. An absolutely great time was had by all. We are still e-mailing one another about what a fun trip it was.
Thank you so much for helping to make our dream vacation exactly that. It couldn't have been better! We would recommend Endless Summer, Silver Sands, & CCV in a heartbeat. We are handing your cards out to anyone who even says they are thinking of a vacation! Everyone is surprised that I found you on the Web and thought that we were taking a gamble by booking this way, now they think I am a genius!! My husband (who has never been to the Caribbean before) really wants to come back! Okay, I think I have rambled on long enough. I just want to let you know how happy we were with the service. Thank everyone & let them know what a good job they do--they are truly an asset to CCV.

P.S. I am sure you heard about the flooded roads that we had to get through on our way to the airport when we went home. That was another adventure! But we made it back home safely.
