Refund Policy

Refunds: Your payments will only be refunded if (1) CCV is unable to provide the services or accommodation (e.g. damage to the property) in which case you get a full refund; (2) CCV is able to rebook the villa for the period you booked, in which case you get a refund less US$50 service charge. There is no refund under any circumstances for any unused portion of booked accommodation or services. Cancellation of your booking may result in the forfeiture of your payments.

Imagine arriving in a foreign country, maybe at night with your family including small children, to find that you have nowhere to stay.

If someone has offered to rent you a home without receiving a nonrefundable deposit or payment in advance, what have they got to lose if you turn up to find that the home is not available? Nothing, because you have paid nothing! Don't get taken by unprofessional agents who advertise this sort of policy.

Our customers, who have experience with vacation rentals, know that Refund Policies like ours are the norm. In fact, our Refund Policy is less stringent than the standard in this industry. We require a 20% deposit and the balance to be paid 30 days prior to your arrival. Most rental agents require more than a 20% deposit (we have seen 25%, 33% and more) to confirm the reservation. Most require the balance to be paid sooner than our thirty day stipulation.

Why does this industry have deposit requirements? Because you don't want to arrive in a foreign country and find you have nowhere to stay! This industry is not like hotels or airlines where there are hundreds of rooms or seats and overbooking to cover no-shows is the norm. We cannot afford no-shows. A no-show means the house sits empty. We don't want an empty house just as you don't want to arrive in a foreign country and find that there is someone else already in "your" house!

We do not double-book the homes! You want to be sure that the home is there and available for you when you arrive. Your nonrefundable payment (except for the situations described at the top of this page) guarantees this, because, when you book with us, we in turn, on your behalf, contract with the home owner who needs assurance that it is a firm booking. Remember, each home is owned by a separate individual.

Our policy gives you, and the homeowner, and us peace of mind.

And go one step further. Get rid of any worry that you may have to cancel for some unforeseen reason by obtaining Trip Cancellation Insurance.
