Mr. & Mrs. Erlich Trip Report
Dear Prem,
The week that my family and I spent at Silver Sands at the villa Je Suis Content was heavenly. We had a marvelous time! In fact, I am still floating on air as I still haven't quite drifted unto reality as yet.
The staff of two was marvelous, as every wish of ours was their command. We ate breakfast every morning on the balcony overlooking the sea - fantastic view! The image is imbedded in my memory permanently.
I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical regarding doing business over the Internet but that fear soon died with I got to Jamaica and dealt with the nicest staff member who told me to just go right down to the villa and relax. Can you imagine? I felt instantly warmed that I had made the right choice.
The staff of two, Ms Lisa and Ms Lillith were marvelous. Just 2 courteous staff members who made me laugh and smile constantly at their many conversations in the Jamaican dialect They worked fast and well together but one nice thing that I must mention is that they laundered all of our dirty clothes each day. I didn't have to take home a stitch of dirty laundry!! Now try that in the big resorts.!!
The kids had a marvelous time with the pool and the satellite TV, but unfortunately, my husband and I got sunburned. The staff members actually went out and got "aloe leaves" and rubbed my arms and shoulders with this gel - stuff that instantly smoothed my skin. I think those girls got a remedy for everything. I would learn a thing or two from them.
We ate avocados with dinner, courtesy of the tree growing on the land, and had the local fisherman bring over live lobster. What a treat! We took pictures with them. I think the three lobsters only cost us $5 US for the entire lot. We also ate extremely well. I think a little too well as I think that I may have gained ten pounds.
We also went down to Fisherman's Beach to watch the local fishermen snorkel and spear fish. That was a treat for my husband, as he has never seen this type of activity before. I met "Keith" a local rastaman - fisherman who sold us fish that he had just caught at a marvelous price. They were nice and fresh. The girls at the villa fried them and I now have them in my freezer here just wanting for us to enjoy. In fact, I ate two of them earlier. I think that I'm in heaven.............. simply heaven..............
We made a couple of trips to the Bend down market and also to Dunns River Falls in Ocho Rios. We also went to the local soda factory and to the supermarkets BJ and Chens. Had a great time.
The kids didn't want to leave at the end of the vacation. My daughter begged to stay just one more day. My son says that he would like to do this kind of vacation again. My hubby and I are in agreement.
Words cant adequately described the wonderful time that we had. We felt like Kings and Queens. Thanks again for all the professional service that I received before the trip. The calls that you made in regards to my inquires and all the help that I received in order to put this trip together was just the type of service that I needed to make my decision. We had many choices to choose from but I am glad that we made the right choice. You made my dream of a great vacation come true.
My friends are in awe that such a great place exists. I am planning to take some of them there next time just to show them. Thanks again.
